Pour-im
Jewish Observance

According to Talmud, "one must drink on Purim until that person cannot distinguish between cursing Haman and blessing Mordechai". MJC MC takes this very seriously and for our 2nd year in a row, all join at Temple for BYO event. Pour-im, a play on Purim combines a Megilliah reading along with a favorite adult activity where the whole congregation is invited to participate.
"Pour-im" is a fun way to celebrate Purim while according to Talmud, one must drink on Purim until that person cannot distinguish between cursing Haman and blessing Mordechai. We ask all our MC members to come on Erev Purim for an evening Megillah reading and bring a bottle to share. Many of our members show up, we set up in the back of the sanctuary as not to be a distraction and then participate in the Purim festivities.
