Due to in-person restrictions for participation of in-Temple religious services due to Covid-19 restrictions, the overall goal of this program, was to promote the learning of the Shofar blowing, in order to facilitate the observance of Listening the Shofar during the month of Elul 5780 - Rosh Hashana 5781.
Temple Israel Mens Club co-sponsored (with a MC VP) a packet containing 1 Kosher Shofar to every Hebrew School student household in our synagogue, and gave online tutorials on how to blow it to make the Kpsher sounds for the ritual.

Self Assessment
The program was well received, as many students where very excited to receive an actual shofar and the opportunity to learn how to blow it, and provide a Mitzvah in their homes during the High Holidays.
This was a high-impact program because it linked kids with Men's Club in the Jewish context of the shofar. It generated new member interest in Men's Club, and is sustainable year-to-year by purchasing shofarot only for new families. Families will be invited to bring their "Men's Club Shofarot" to services for the HHD.
