Weight loss competition modeled after the Biggest Loser show on NBC.
The VP of men's club, Alan Blitz, organized the contest was to see how much weight we as a club could lose between February 15th and the start of the NCAA pool. The person to lose largest percentage of body weight won.

HISTORY: Isolation and quarantine have been tough. While COVID-19 has been rough on everyone, it was more like COVID 23 pounds for Alan. In search of a goal, he wanted to make getting healthy a group activity. A handful of members banded together to lose weight and get healthy. We organized outdoor walks and workouts. Talked about healthy eating habits and what steps we would take to to ensure a healthy outcome.

In the end, Alan ended up winning the competition by losing 9.89% of his body weight.

Self Assessment
We tried to make getting healthy a group activity. Unfortunately, it was mostly too cold to be outdoors but we did organize a weekly walk while the kids were in Sunday school, working out at the local outdoor HIIT gym and bike rides. The temperature did not cooperate. In the future, we will do another contest like this when the weather gets warmer.
Instead of focusing all men's club events around food or drink, we can focus our efforts on helping the health and welfare of our members. This meets the FJMC objective of community because we are looking out for the wellbeing of our members.
I would like all clubs to improve the health and welfare of our members by organizing nature walks, bike rides, paintball, etc. Anything to get the body moving and the heart pumping.
