PROGRAMMING
(Programs can be one-time events or ongoing endeavors. More information about many of these programs may be found on fjmc.org under “Programs”). Please briefly describe program.
Many members of our Club are members of the Synagogue's Pastoral Committee. We visit Shiva homes and also lead Shiva minyans.
Scotch and Seder meeting with the Rabbi where he has an open discussion about and running the Seder.
Club members deliver food to needy families monthly (currently 21 families). Additional deliveries for Rosh HaShana and Passover
Club members serve as Gabbais. Also, many members read the Torah, Haftorah. Members also lead davening when the Cantor is away.
Members practiced to lead a Friday night service on Shabbat Hachodesh, but Synagogue was closed due to COVID.
We use recyclable materials for our meetings.
Attended a New York Jets game in November, 2019 - members did bring children.
Rabbinic dialogue via Zoom, sponsored by our club, the club in the orthodox shul and the brotherhood in the reform shul
