We had a dance at the synagogue where a DJ did the same stuff that is done at a Bar/Bat mitzvah but just for our membership.
We chose a Saturday night in the February to hold a Father/Daugher - Mother/Son at the Synagogue. We hired a DJ to do many of the same things that are done at a Bar/Bat Mitzvah with our couples. We danced to music and played games like Coke and Pepsi. We hired a photographer to take photos of the couples as they came in and provided a printed photo as a momento of the evening. We scheduled it at 7pm so that people could go out to dinner before hand so we only had snacks and a few desserts as food. We advertised to all ages, but mainly ended up with kids in the 2-11 age group. We split the evening up between the two age groups so that young kids could be there from 7pm to 9pm and the older kids could be there from 9pm to 10pm.
