The overall goal of this program was to have the Men's Club come together during Sukkot and learn about the holiday, in place of the Scotch in the Sukkah event held in previous years. The newly installed assistant Rabbi Jeffrey Abraham presented "Why Do We Build A Sukkah and Who Should We Be Inviting To the Sukkah" to the Men's Club members exclusively.
As we were restricted to a number of participants to remain socially distant within the Sukkah, we were not going to hold our annual Scotch in the Sukkah event. As soon as Rabbi Abraham was installed as the Assistant Rabbi, our Club President started the conversation to include Rabbi in events with the Men's Club, and Sukkot provided an appropriate setting in which to have an informal conversation, introduce ourselves to the Rabbi and he introduce himself to us. We asked about what topics he would like to cover, and he came up with the presentation and associated material.

Self Assessment
This event was a nice departure from some of the other Men's Club events, in that it was intimate (group size dictated by Sukkah size and limitations of execution), it allowed the BAMC leadership to be introduced to the newly installed Rabbi and he likewise could introduce himself to us. The program was considered a success - it was a learning exercise that Rabbi Abraham felt comfortable presenting to us, it was a pleasant evening to be in the Sukkah, there was a good sense of brotherhood among the participants. While we did not have all 18 available seats taken for the evening, we had 15 men attend the session.
This event was an educational opportunity for the leadership of the BAMC. It allowed our community of men to come together and listen to a new voice within our congregation.
While we certainly wished we could have held "A" Scotch in the Sukkah event as we have in the past, or even hold a muted, limited attendance event, so that we could celebrate the happiness of Sukkot - this was not available to us given the current events of Covid. We made do with the event that we could accomplish at that time.
