The overall goal of the program is to provide Health Information to Temple Beth El congregants as well as to congregants in Five other community synagogues. Our Mission is "Learn to Live Longer". This Collaboration with Northwell Health has several components: Health Related Issues presented; A collaboration with six Temples located in The Five Towns; This initiative is done in conjunction with Rosh Chodesh Sundays; It involves Men and Women in Services as well as attending the Health presentations held on Rosh Chodesh Sundays; Each Temple volunteers to have a Health presentation at events other than during Rosh Chodesh; Temple Beth El Including Health topics during other events ie.World Wide Wrap. Each Temple is responsible to hold events during the year where all the PARTNERS are invited to attend.
The Collaboration with Northwell Health involves the following Temples: Temple Beth El of Cedarhurst (Men's Club President -Point Person); Temple Hillel; Sons of Israel; Temple Israel; Sephardic Temple; and Hewlett East Rockaway. The Northwell Health Contact Person is responsible to provide a Boiler Plate Header fon ALL our Flyers; Provide speakers from Norhtwell Health; and work with the six Temples on deciding the specific Health Related topic to be presented at each event. (Input from our Congregants). In addition,Temple Beth El has included Health Issues in other areas as well. For example, our Rabbi discussed at our "World Wide Wrap" event how Laying Tefillin has both a Spiritual and a Medical advantage. In addition, our Men's Club has arranged for CPR Training for our congregants.

Self Assessment
This Collaborative Program with Northwell Health and six communityTemples is a major source of providing Health Related topics to multiple Congregants. Our Men's Club is the LEAD for helping both Northwell Health and the other Temples work out details for their events. We have over 200 Families in our Synagogue in addition to similar numbers at the other Temples. Several of our Men's Club Executive Board Members help in the coordination of the program
This Collaborative Program involves Jewish Men in Jewish Life since the topics are relevant not only to men, but women as well. Women and Men are invited to attend all the presentations. During our Rosh Chodesh Sunday Morning events women partake in the services since Rosh Chodesh caters to women. However, The Men's Club organizes the program; provides breakfast; sets the agenda for the event; and runs the event.
The program supports the elements of the FJMC: Leadership-Temple Beth El's Men's Club started the program; and is the lead for all the activities organized for the six Temples. Innovation-A program that meets multiple goals-A Community Program; Health Issues addressed that is of concern to all; Topics decided by Congregants in Conjunction with Northwell Health; and Provides opportunities for Temples to share ideas; socialize; and partake in meaningful experiences.
